My Bad Experience With Digi Prepaid

Just yesterday night, my handphone suddenly switched to "emergency calls only" mode. Initially, I had thought that it might be some network problem or something so I ignored it until this morning.

However, morning came...but its still showing emergency calls only. Rebooted my handphone, switched to a different one...still no results.

(And it was only just yesterday morning that I've checked my phone balance...
Balance: RM3X.XX, Last Reload: 15/10/2015)

Having a bad premonition, I popped down to the nearest digi service store and asked.

Bam...got hit with the "I'm sorry, but your phone number just got terminated". Reason being, it was over 75 days since you've last reloaded.

(¬_¬ ;)

I mean seriously....WTF? Wasn't it supposed to be 90 days? And where's that god-damn SMS that's supposed to remind you of your phone number being about to be terminated? Even my brother's phone number had received that.

But mine didn't.

Anyway, the bottom line is...once they've terminated your phone number, there's no way that you can get it back. Any amount of money that's in the balance is theirs to keep. No recourse. No buts.

Moral of the story: Don't keep too much money within your handphone prepaid card. That money is yours "technically", but never yours (under their TnCs).

How Much Of A Cheat Can The World Be

How much of a cheat can the world be?
Extremely and despicably so, I'm afraid.
So long as its stated or written vaguely enough.
So long as you don't ask thoroughly and clear all doubts.
Any and all attempts to implicate it will be futile.
It will worm its way out of them with ease.

The Thing About Truths And Lies

Truth And Lies
I'm pretty sure that even a kid knows about this, but...in a bid to cover up the truth, people often resort to lying.

However, the thing about doing so is that...it is much akin to a person trying to roll a snowball up a gradual slope.

The lies eventually accumulate, grow bigger (just like the snowball) and one fine day, even you yourself won't believe how absurd the lie has become.

Finally, when you've exhausted all your strength (and options), the humongous snowball that you've built will come crashing down upon ya (karma).

What You Need Is Skills

To survive in this world, what you need isn't knowledge, but a set of skills.
Skills that are unique to you and yet is desired by everybody else.
Knowledge just makes it easier for you to get those skills.

* However, that only pertains to surviving in this world. To make the world progress, knowledge is the one you'll need. What a bummer, right?

Time Is Cruel And Relentless

Time is cruel and relentless. Bit by bit, it whittles and takes away the potential of a person.

Time is cruel and relentless. Slowly but surely, white hair appears and you find that your no longer who you used to be.

Time is cruel and relentless. And because of the way it is how it is, one must grab hold of what little (time) one has.

To explore all interesting possibilities before all (potential) is lost. Lost forever.

Crisis TV Series Afterthoughts (Spoiler Alert)

After having finished watching Crisis (TV series), I can't help but think that there appears to be some kind of logical inconsistency in it.

Wasn't Francis Gibson supposed to be portrayed as a "father who was wrongly framed and is trying to get his life back"?

If that was the case, most of the killings that occurred "under his control" shouldn't had happened.

And in fact, it should have been in his plans to preserve lives instead.

My Ideal Scenario:

Ep 1 & 2 could have been about him being in jail, escaping from it and initiating the whole plan to get back on Gabe Widener. (To make up for Ep 12 and Ep 13 in the original series being cut off.)

Ep 3 would be the start of what we saw (Original's Ep 1 "Pilot"), but with Finley stunned and left there instead of being shot at and Gibson totally out of the picture (from the bus scene and everything).

(Anton could have just as easily been released after his father had done what he was asked to do.)

From there, everything proceeds as usual.

But at Ep 7, Hearst shouldn't have been allowed to escape.

In Ep 8, Nash shouldn't have died. Rather both got caught by the guard and brought back to their lockup rooms.

In Ep 9, Gibson should have just faked Jin's death and locked him up somewhere else.

Buddy didn't have to die in Ep 11. Gibson could have easily ordered Hawkins to knock him unconscious.

And with Widener having incriminated himself, that should have been the end already...with Gibson surrendering himself and releasing all the kids.

Just not meant to be...

If things are not meant to be...its not meant to be.
Do not think about what if...its simply a waste of time.

Busted My PC

Sadly, my PC got busted recently and I'm currently using my brother's legacy "white elephant", an Intel Pentium D, that he graciously lent to me.

Unless and until I manage to secure the funds to get a new PC, that will probably be what I'm gonna have to use for the time being I'm afraid.
Before PC DiedAfter PC Died
The bad news about it is that while it isn't a bad comp to do the menial tasks with, it can be a little taxing on the comp for trying out new games and the recording of them (simultaneously) using fraps.

And as the frame skipping is very bad, I'm not quite sure (to be honest) what I can do with this PC for the sake of my blog.
If you have some spare cash that you don't mind throwing it my way, I would very much appreciate it. TQVMIA.

Food For Thought: Freedom

Freedom

What constitutes Freedom?

Is there a difference between YOUR Freedom and MY Freedom?

What's so great about your Freedom that gives you the right to step on my Freedom?

Is your Freedom more just than mine?

Is your Freedom more righteous than mine?

Is Freedom that comes at the expense of another's Freedom, really FREEDOM?

Or are you simply hiding behind this false Freedom

To mask your true intentions? To further your own propaganda?

So just what exactly is Freedom?

Is there a difference between YOURS and MINE?
