Robert Noyce's 84th Birthday

Today is Robert Norton Noyce's 84th Birthday. He co-founded Fairchild Semiconductor and Intel. He also played a part in the invention of the microchip which fueled the personal computer revolution. Without the microchip, we probably wouldn't have computers in our homes today.

Diego Rivera's 125th Birthday

Diego María de la Concepción Juan Nepomuceno Estanislao de la Rivera y Barrientos Acosta y Rodríguez, was a prominent Mexican painter born in Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico.

To mark his 125th birthday, Google has placed a drawing of a couple of mural artists painting a wall on its homepage.
