On today's Google homepage sports a man looking at what seems to be ancient Egyptian artifacts. Upon closer inspection, I realized that this doodle serves to commemorate Mr. Howard Carter's 138th Birthday.

Howard Carter was an English archaeologist and Egyptologist. He was known for his discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun.
