Mark Twain's 176th Birthday

Today's the birthday of Samuel Langhorne Clemens. He is most noted for his novels, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876), and its sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1885). He is better known under the pen name "Mark Twain".

To celebrate his birthday, Google has placed a drawing of a couple of boys painting a fence on its homepage.
