Today is the 101st birthday of
Akira Yoshizawa. He was considered to be the grandmaster of origami and the one who popularized it from a craft into a living art. During his life, he was estimated to have created 50,000 or more models, however only a few hundred of them were diagrammed in books for others to learn.
